All applicants seeking admission in different B.A. / B.Sc. Hons. and general courses- 2021 areherebyspecificallyadvisednottobeentertainedbyanyoutsiderastheentireonlineadmissionprocessistotallycomputerized.Personalinterventioncan’tregulatethisprocess.

 

1.                                                              ONLINEREGISTRATION TOADMISSIONPORTAL

 

All are required to register in the admission portal of the college before filling up the applicationformonline.Afterregistrationauniqueapplicationnumberandpasswordwillbegeneratedandsent to the designated mobile number.Candidates are required to provide their own validmobile numbers(preferably with what’s app accessibility) and e-mail IDs. There is no need to fill the form in a single go. Using this Application number,the application form can be modified and one can apply for any number of courses as per his/herwish in a single form. Before proceeding to CONFIRMATION option, check carefully all the data of theapplicationform. After the stipulated date, nofurthermodificationwill beallowed.

 

Thisistobenotedthatapplicantsarerequiredtoregisterintheadmissionportalusinghis/herownmobilenumberonly (preferably with what’s app accessibility)astheentirestudentshipcycleofanadmittedstudentwillberegulated and recorded in the student management portal of the college and at different timesOTP sent on their registered mobile will be their gate pass to the system. Also, any informationduringpre-admissionperiodmaybesharedovertheregisteredmobileSIMasbeforecommencement of classes, none will be allowed to enter college premises as per order of theHigherEducation Department,Govt. ofWest Bengal.

 

All payments (Admission fees) will be made Online using Credit/Debit Cards/ NET Banking through Bill Desk.The system does not allow any Bank Challan for cash payments/  physical transactions at any phase ofadmission.Foronlinetransactions admissible transactionchargewill apply.NO CHARGES will be taken from the students for uploading of documents and also for the application charges/ prospectus fees while applying for online admission at UG level courses in the ensuing academic year starting from 2021 as per order of theHigherEducation Department,Govt. ofWest Bengal.

 

ChargeofRegistrationtotheCollegeadmissionPortal

 

For application to each of the different choices of courses/subjects, the charge will be Rs. 00/-.There is no upper limit of number ofchoices provided the candidate satisfies the eligibilitycriteriafor admission (seecollege website)

 

Nomodification/paymentcanbemadeaftertheclosingdateasspecifiedbytheorderoftheWestBengalStateUniversity.Itis always advisablenottowait forthe last day.

 

2.                                                                                                                           OnlineAdmission

 

Admission will be made strictly on the basis of merit according to the Rank List for individualcourses. In case of tie of merit marks, the tie will be broken by considering the subject marksatfirst. If the tie still remains unbroken then the marks of English may be compared for breaking thetie. In the event of failure in the foregoing two attempts the date of birth will be considered and theperson with earlier date of birth will be preferred over the others. However, this exercise is subject toavailability of seats. In case of merit score computation of back year pass-out students typically 2% deduction from aggregate HS subject(s)’ marks will be followed. To fill up the existing vacancies the college will prepare Admission LIST fromtime to time in different phases based on intake capacity.Candidate in each such admission list(coursewise)areallowedtosubmitthecollegeadmissionfeesONLINEwithinstipulateddatea time to secure their seats, failingwhichthechanceforadmissionmaybelostforeverinthisyear,unlessvacancyexistsevenaftertheentiremeritlistgetexhausted.Next list will bepublished on the basis of residual vacancies.A payment link/receipt will be sent to the unique loginaccount of the listed candidate and after the successful payment of college fees ONLINE within thestipulated period. An SMS will also be sent to their respective registered mobile numbers (ifselected for admission). It is also advised that every candidate willing to take admission mustfollowtheCollegeWebsiteregularlyduringtheentireadmissionperiodtochecktheadmission list; as non receipt of SMS will not be considered as an excuse for failing to takeadmission within stipulated time.

 

 

UploadingofScannedDocuments

 

Atthetimeofsubmissionofapplication,theselectedcandidatesarerequestedtouploadthescanned copies of the followingdocuments:IN(JPEG/PNG) FORMAT

 

(1)+2-marksheet (filesizewithin100 KB)

(2)     SecondaryAdmitcard/BirthCertificate (for verificationofDateofBirth)(within100KB)

(3)     Recentphoto(preferablycolored)(Filesizewithin 50KB)

(4)    SC/ST/OBC/PHcertificates(issuedbyproperauthority) (Ifmentionedinapplicationform)(Filesizewithin 100KB)

 

3.                                                                                                Transferfromone courseto another

 

After taking admission in one course, if a candidate is selected for admission to some other course(applied earlier), he/she is allowed to take a transfer. However, adjustment of fees for admission todifferent courses by transferring the previousone is permissible only withinthe stipulated time tobefixed bythe college.

No change of courses is allowable after the closing of on-line admission process. All the admissionsare provisional. The college authority has the right to cancel the admissionat if any adverse reportis found/received at any stage or in case of producing any record that does not match with theclaimedmerit resultingin wrongselection ofthecandidate.

 

4.                                                                                                                    CancellationandRefund

 

Cancellation of admission can be processed On-line. Course fees, caution money, Universityregistrationfees,identitycardcharge,chargeforstudenthealthhome,students’unionfeeandsportsfeesmayberefundedifthecandidatecancelhis/heradmissionlatestbythreedaysbeforetheadmissionclosingdate (asspecified byWBSU).

During online admission cancellation process, students have to submit their OWN bank details for getting the refund amounts. Students are strictly directed NOT TO PROVIDE THE BANK DETAILS of any third party/ cyber café in this regard.

 

Tocompletetheadmission cancellationprocessthestudentsareadvisedtoproceedtothefollowingsteps positivelyotherwise thepayment offeesmay beforfeited.

 

After starting of the 1st semester classes admitted students are advised to get their documents verified;theadmission process willbe completedonlyafterthis verification process.

 

 


5.       DocumentVerification/Allotmentof RollNo./IdentityCard Formfillup/

(A)    TheApplicants/Guardiansafterpaymentofadmissionfeesarerequired tobepresentatthecollege (depending on the prevailing covid-19 situation and Govt. of WB order)on dateasperrespectiveschedulealongwith followingdocuments:

·         10 +2Mark sheet (original) +onephoto copy

·         10(Secondary) admit card(Original)/ BirthCertificate+ Onephotocopy

·         SC/ST/OBC/PH certificates (issued by competent authority) in original (ifmentionedat thetime of registration) +photocopy

·         Twostampedsizerecentcolorphotographs

(B)     Applicants/ Admitted students are advised to collect roll numbers, college identity cards and routines afterdocument verification. Students are also advised to download a digital copy ofprovisionalcollegeidentitycard and keep it in their mobile, ifpossible.

 

(C)     Admitted students are also advised to join the respective college and/ or departmental what’s app group, as notified by the college, time to time in the website.

 

(D)    The Registration of the students to the affiliating university is an essential part ofadmission. The registration of West Bengal State University will be processed onlinethrough the university registration portal during the period as notified by the university.Failure to complete registration with the affiliating university will automatically cancelthecollegeadmission.
